Patron Account Policy

Last updated: February 19, 2024

This Patron Account Policy serves as an addendum to the Terms of Use for the Mushroom Network. It outlines the standards and expectations for all users (hereafter referred to as “Patrons“) regarding the creation, use, and management of Patron Accounts within our network. By creating and using an account on the Mushroom Network, you agree to adhere to this policy in addition to our overarching Terms of Use.

1. Account Creation and Verification:

  • Valid Email Requirement: Patrons must register using a valid, permanent email address. The use of temporary email addresses associated with services known for providing such is strictly prohibited. This policy is in place to prevent abuse of our platform and ensure a reliable means of communication.
  • Age Restriction: Patrons must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to create an account.
  • Accuracy of Information: All information provided during the registration process must be accurate and truthful. The Mushroom Network reserves the right to verify this information and take necessary actions, including account suspension or termination, in case of discrepancies.

2. Account Security:

  • Patrons are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. The Mushroom Network will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
  • In the event of unauthorized use of your account or breach of security, you must immediately notify the Mushroom Network.

3. Prohibited Conduct:

  • Misuse of Accounts: Creating multiple accounts for deceptive purposes, harassment, spamming, or any other malicious activities is strictly prohibited.
  • Inappropriate Content: Posting or sharing content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable under our community guidelines is not allowed.
  • Violations of Law: Any activities conducted through Patron Accounts that violate local, state, federal, or international laws are grounds for immediate account termination and potential legal action.

4. Temporary Email Domain Ban:

  • Prohibited Domains: Patrons are prohibited from using email domains known for offering temporary email services. A comprehensive list of such domains is maintained and regularly updated by the Mushroom Network.
  • Enforcement: The use of a temporary email domain for account creation or communication within the network may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

5. Account Management:

  • Personal Use: Patron Accounts are for personal, non-commercial use only, unless explicitly authorized by the Mushroom Network for business or educational purposes.
  • Data Privacy: The Mushroom Network is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.
  • Account Termination: Patrons may terminate their accounts at any time. The Mushroom Network also reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Patron Account Policy, our Terms of Use, or applicable laws.

6. Changes to the Policy:

  • The Mushroom Network reserves the right to modify this Patron Account Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of your account after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
